Deep Regret at the Loss of Mr. Nick Mills

The Bella Moss Foundation would like to acknowledge our deep sadness at the loss of a very good friend. Mr, Nick Mills who was an excellent vet and special man in every way, the kind of vet anyone would want to have and the kind of man who was an inspiration to anyone who he came into contact with. Our condolences go to Nick’s family and colleagues at his practice and Pet Plan Charitable Trust. Nick fought so hard in our corner and we will miss him so very much.

PRESS INFORMATION

First Charity for Helping Animals with MRSA

The Bella Moss Foundation, the world’s only organisation supporting owners of pets infected by bacterial diseases such as Clostridium difficile (C-Diff) and MRSA, has been awarded full UK registered charity status (1122246).

The Bella Moss Foundation was set up in 2005 by former actress Jill Moss after the death of her beloved Samoyed, Bella, from MRSA. At that time, there was virtually no recognition that pets are also vulnerable to so called Superbug infections.

PRESS RELEASE

FEBRUARY 2006

More and more people are seeking help and advice on their companion animals from The Bella Moss Foundation. Jill Moss, Foundation President, says, “Over the past 18 months we have had calls from people whose animals have MRSA or who have it themselves and are concerned for their pets. I have been able to put some of these in touch with the veterinary experts we have made contact with and sometimes that has been all that was needed. Sometime, though, we have had to help people understand the meaning of the information they have been given, or even go with them as support through a difficult meeting. At time it has not been easy, but the help The Foundation has managed to give has made it all worthwhile.”
