3M'S superbug hopes turn sour - Telegraph.
In early September, London's High Court is due to hear oral arguments between 3M and Porton Capital, the two companies at the heart of the legal war. Porton will try to convince the court that 3M failed to develop BacLite, thus robbing it of millions of pounds in earn-out fees. 3M will argue the technology was "obsolete" and represented a product "no one wanted", according to legal filings. Next month's hearing will decide the rights and wrongs of the $40m (£24m) legal battle. But it is the personal and business details surrounding the two companies, Defence Secretary Liam Fox and a cast of other characters that are likely to grab the headlines.
