Parents warned of possible case of MRSA at South Side school - Chicago Sun-Times.
Students of a CPS elementary school were sent home with a letter to parents on Tuesday warning of a possible case of MRSA at the South Side Hamilton Park neighborhood school. The “possible case” of Staphylococcus aureaus (MRSA) was reported in a classroom of the school at 7141 S. Morgan St., said Guggenheim Elementary School Principal Vikki Stokes in a letter to parents. Precautions have been taken at the school and all areas of the school building have been sanitized including the classroom, gymnasium and cafeteria, the letter said.
