Actress wary of MRSA after arm infection
Like most expectant mothers, actress Tina Hobley is anxious about going into hospital to have her second child. In a matter of days, the 35-year-old Holby City star, who already has an eight-year-old daughter, is due to give birth to her first child with her husband, PR director Oli Wheeler. It's not the pain that she dreads, and her anxiety doesn't stem from a difficult first birth experience. Sadly, she blames the doctors for not using basic hygiene, and herself for not insisting Neither does she have any reason to fear complications; her pregnancy has been a healthy one. What terrifies her - ironically, given the nature of her day job - is the prospect of spending time on a hospital ward. This is no irrational phobia: Tina's fears are totally justifiable. Last time she was admitted to hospital, four years ago, she caught a deadly hospital superbug that almost cost her the use of her left arm.
