CA MRSA in children - drug treatment

Link: Staphylococcal skin infections in children

Skin and soft tissue infections due to methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) are still relatively uncommon in children. Well children with community-acquired MRSA infections can be treated with clindamycin or trimethoprim-sulfamethoxazole (cotrimoxazole), but must be observed closely for potentially severe adverse effects. In severe infections, vancomycin remains the treatment of choice, while intravenous teicoplanin and clindamycin are suitable alternatives. Linezolid and quinupristin/dalfopristin are currently showing great promise for the treatment of multi-resistant Gram-positive infections. While the choice of antibacterial is important, supportive management, including removal of any infected foreign bodies, surgical drainage of walled-off lesions, and regular wound cleaning, play a vital role in ensuring cure.

My daughter is 20 months old. She has had a staph infection for the last 11 months. She gets three different types of lesions on her skin. She has been on every different kind of antibiotic known to man, and it just doesn't let up. Every time her lesions or sores begin to heal, more appear. Her doctors, although knowledgeable, don't seem to know how to cure her. If anyone has any recommendations, please contact me.
Best regards,
Laura Smith

Dear laura

I'm so sorry for what you are going through.

I'm not one to reach out to offer advice. And I am no a doctor. But over the last three years my company has be developing and has a patent pending on a product that you wash or spray on to fabrics to kill all deadly bacteria. Including MRSA. I cannot help from feeling like your baby may be getting reinfected since fabrics can carry the bacteria even through laundry cycles.

If you would like some free product please send me a po box or a business address and I will have our company send you this product.

I will be happy to discuss our product with you if you want to call our office.

I'm only trying to help but it is proven fabrics and other surfaces will re infect and carry bacteria.. So your child could very well be getting contaiminated over and over again and they is the reason he or she is not healing. I also believe if the immune system is not strong enough you baby could not fight it off. I'm sure your doctors have told you to make sure your baby does not get an cut or scratch. MRSA can be very critical if it gets into the bloodstream.

I wish you well.
Sincerely,

I will be happy to send you our product for free to help you. It is called Bacterarmor. You can go to our website www.gogonco.com if you are worried.

I have a 3 year old son and we just found out he has MRSA. He has been getting boils that are very painful. I hoping that is just something that will go away. I've been reading on MRSA and in some cases kids have died so it is a very scary thing. Does anyone know if this is cureable? Iam hoping he will grow out of it.
